Passports
Passports valid for at least six months following your visit, with at least two blank pages available for stamps, are required for all international travel. If you need to obtain or renew a passport, Australian citizens can visit the Australian Passport Office and New Zealand citizens the New Zealand Government website.
We recommend you make copies of your passport photo page, visas, credit cards, driver’s license and any prescriptions, and keep these separate from your originals in case of loss or theft.
Visas
For visa information, all guests including non-AU/NZ citizens and legal residents should seek advice from their respective embassy, consulate or Travel Agent to determine which documents are needed prior to departure. Tips for AU/NZ citizens regarding their destinations are below. Should you require a visa for your journey, please be aware that each country/embassy/consulate sets its own policies regarding their issue, so allow ample time for processing. Be sure to obtain and carefully review for accuracy all your required documents prior to departure to avoid delays, denied boarding/entry or additional cost.
Australian & New Zealand Citizens:
Vietnam
As your itinerary begins in Vietnam, visits Cambodia and returns to Vietnam, you must have a multiple-entry visa if you are an AU/NZ citizen; non-AU/NZ citizens, please check with your consulate for visa information. Two single-entry visas are not recommended. E-visas are accepted in both directions of travel.
Should you wish to apply for an e-visa, you can do so at Vietnam’s National Web Portal on Immigration.

To ensure you have your visa in time, we recommend you begin this process at least 90 days prior to your departure.
Tips for completing your e-visa application:
- Please be careful to select the multiple-entry option when applying for your e-visa. The online form automatically defaults to the single-entry option.

- For (Ho Chi Minh) Saigon the checkpoint is Tan Son Nhat Int’l airport.

Cambodia
If you are an AU/NZ citizen, a single-entry Cambodia visa is required for this itinerary; non-AU/NZ citizens, please check with your consulate for visa information.
To ensure you have your visa in time, we recommend you begin this process at least 90 days prior to departure.

Should you wish to apply for an e-visa (Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh direction only), you can do so at Cambodia’s official e-visa portal.
NOTE: If you are traveling in the Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi direction, e-visas are not accepted, as we enter by riverway. You can apply for your visa by mail to the Cambodian embassy, or use our visa partner CIBTvisas for AU citizens and Visa Assist for NZ citizens. Alternately, our Viking staff in Vietnam can assist you with obtaining a Visa on Arrival. Should you prefer this option, you will need to bring one passport-style in color photo of each guest with you to the ship. Once on board, please visit our Guest Services team to provide the photos and ensure they have your information to help facilitate your visa. The cost of the Visa on Arrival is USD 35 pp, which must be paid in cash to our staff in Vietnam. Please ensure the bills are in good condition.
